Our infant & toddler program provides care for children from birth through 2 ½ years of age. The ratio of children to care givers is 4:1. The maximum number of children in the room is 12. Staff members are trained specifically for infant & toddler care.
Children at this age are nurtured in their development through a loving, trusting and interactive environment. The room is equipped with many age-appropriate toys which are designed to stimulate exploration, discovery, growth and development. The children quickly learn the routine of the room and enjoy learning to play with others. The toddler’s week includes circle time, stories, Jesus Time, art, games, movement, sensory experiences and other hands-on activities. Talking, listening and singing with these children is essential for their language development. Weather permitting the children daily enjoy activities in their fenced in age-appropriate play area as well as walks in strollers and wagons.
Our primary room provides care for children 3-5 years of age. The ratio of children to care givers is 10:1 or 12:1 depending on the age of the youngest child in the room. Child care is provided from 7am – 6pm. In this program the children experience a structured preschool program from 8:30-11:00 each day of the week. Many units are taught which allow the children to learn about colors, shapes, early literacy, math concepts and much more. The curriculum provides students with the opportunity to grow in the areas of spiritual, social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. The afternoon includes quiet/nap time, free choice, centers and outside play.
We offer 3 traditional preschool programs: 2-day, 3-day and 5-day. Typically the 2-day program is best suited for the 3 year old child or one who has never experienced a school setting. The 3-day program is recommended for a 4 year old child and our 5-day program is for pre-kindergarteners.
Our preschool programs all use the ZOO-PHONICS PLUS curriculum. Other activities include:
Large & small motor activities
Field trips and social events
Art, Library, Gym
And much, much more!
